Congratulations to Jeffrey Shield (Student of Ivy Chan) for winning 4th prize in the Szafarnia Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland.
Jeffrey Shield won the Grand Prix Prize at the 2nd International Piano Competition for Children and Youth, "Paderewski's Piano," in Poland. He was also honoured with the special Paderewski award by Prof. M. Zebrowski from Los Angeles and received a special award for his performance of Glinka from Prof. Izabella Darska Havasi, president of the Gyorgy Ferenczy Foundation in Hungary. Jeffrey didn't get 1st but he won Grand Prix Prize which is a higher accolade than 1st place. And won 2 special awards.
